![]() Just a thought, not everyone likes it, but not everyone goes into minecraft knowing what to press for what. accordingly as well as something like jump/crouch/sprint/etc. But instead of individual blocks, putting dig/mine/break/use/etc. I would recommend something like in the "not enough items" mod having block overlays with an on/off toggle. If/when this mod upgrades to forge, CJB's Quickcraft mod would be an instant MUST for me due to the incredibly similar xbox/PS3 crafting interface, which would effectively get rid of issues 2 and 3 for me personally (though I cannot speak for others).Īnother hypothetical addition would be button overlays like in PS3/Xbox. I have a version with and without the shadow which I thought was pretty cool. I'll straight up give you the 5 kilobyte. If anyone wants it just message me and I'll figure out how to give it to you (nothing asked for in return and no strings. Speaking sbout a smooth cursor, I created a "perfect replica" of the xbox/PS3 cursor. It's not a big complaint, I just think it would be cool to have a smooth rolling cursor. The cursor in menues tends to be a bit jumpy. This could hypothetically give both criticisms peace of mind.įour this is really just a petty complaint that I don't usually notice while playing (I'm usually using the hotspots anyway). *To solve two and three, I would recommend mapping right hand controller thumb buttons to mouse/keyboard buttons/macros while in menus. This still works with the mouse when the mod is installed, however the controller does not seem to support it. Similarly, when left-clicking and dragging, the material is supposed to evenly distribute itself among the selected areas. Holding the "place individual" button and dragging the mouse should let down an individual block wherever the mouse lands. Three when placing items, the click and drag to place features were an enoumous help with a mouse, however it doesn't work with the controller. If this was by design, I strongly recommend changing to the moment the button is pressed in rather than requiring the complete release of the button. This was a nice implimentation, however placing one item at a time requires you to let go of the button completely before the item is actually placed. Two placing individual items in the inventory. I can imagine this would be a difficult if not impossible request, however a quick-move with creative items would have been really nice when I was doing more complex creations. With this being said, the creative shift-click only gives a stack of 64, and will not make a quick move. Not to say that the current quick-move feature isn't great, I just think that binding "Shift+left click" to say X (xbox) or Square (PS3) would be a nice feature. One having a dedicated "quick move" button would make for an easier navigation for people like me that want super simple play. Now because I went into the mod with some expectations that might not have been possible, I do have a few things to say about it. Hopefully I can have a review up soon, but for now I think I'll just comment some constructive criticism.Īfter having played around with the mod some more, I can say that with the current build, it brings an immensely enjoyable experience overall. Should I post on the forum?Īlright, I have been having technical difficulties and schedule problems recording. I am developing a resource pack to show the onscreen buttons. I just want to help the mod move forward and see this on every minecraft players computer because it really is THAT awesome. Note: I am not offering a "trade" as the Minecraft Forum rules may suggest. If you would be willing to help me out a bit, I'd spend every spare moment I have writing for this mod. Hey Sarkos, if it would suit your convenience I would love to help develop this mod, but I would need some help starting. I tend to play with hardcore gamers LAN moded about 10-20 mods but I play with my family vanilla. If I knew how to mod AT ALL I would be trying to make this with forge compatability. Also, I tend to use other mods aswell and I think that forge compatability as well as vanilla modification would be useful for many people I think that the gui quickmove would be a handy feature with a single button and/or gui button customization but this is still an amazing mod nonetheless. I don't recommend magic launcher though it lagged the hell out of my game. Try it for 15 seconds (it took me about 5 to realise its power) and you'll see EXACTLY what I mean. I've used that one but this mod Sarkos made is so much better.
